2014 Friends of the High Line Spring Benefit

Our relationship with Friends of the High Line and with the event design/planning/producing team at Van Wyck & Van Wyck is highly valued and one in which we have enjoyed an ongoing creative and collaborative effort for several years now .... This year's Spring Benefit - now at Skylight at Moynihan Station after two years at Pier 57 - was no different in its significant creative goal to realize a high impact elegant design for the 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. cocktails and dinner reception for 800+ supporters of the extraordinarily popular abandoned elevated Manhattan train tracks turned public park. A valued and necessary load in the day before the May 20th event allowed all involved the time required to install the event's extensive visual and technical elements. The end result - a classic and elegant spring time vibe in the cocktail reception - sheer white fabrics lit in spring yellow and a sparkling pool of water surrounded by contemporary styled bars - and a stunning dinner reception - the ceiling filled throughout with sheer panels of custom dyed fabric by Van Wyck & Van Wyck. Our task - to provide comprehensive lighting design, audio support, and video services for all in attendance for the evening. Collaborating closely with Bronson Van Wyck & his creative team, we and the guests enjoyed the visual outcome pictured below.....
