Noruz 2014 Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Returning for our second year to this illustrious event supporting the galleries of Persian art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Noruz ("Persian New Year") benefit is one at which our comprehensive integration of design and technical services - audio, lighting, video, and staging - shines brightly. The evening featured the musical talent of Rastak, a 14 member member Iranian ensemble known amongst Persian music fans for re-interpreting the culture's folkoric music into a contemporary sound. Additionally, remarks and welcomes were made by the benefit's primary benefactor Sharmin Mossavar-Rahmani, the museum's director Tom Campbell, and Iranian-American comedian and actor Maz Jobrani. Our audio installation was comprised of a complex integration of our L'Acoustics and K-Array systems to insure a full, rich, and comprehensive audio environment and the lighting - subtle yet comprehensive - featured architectural highlighting of the Temple of Dendur structure, decorative lighting of the surrounding environment as well as elegant pin spotting of the table floral centerpieces - designed by Van Vliet & Trap - set for approximately 400 guests.
